Grande Prairie Regional College (GPRC) is the exclusive post-secondary institution located in Grande Prairie.

As a comprehensive community institution, GPRC is dedicated to being responsive to the needs expressed by the communities it serves.

GPRC offers a wide-variety of programming including university transfer, diploma and certificate programs; apprenticeship and pre-employment trades training; and adult high school equivalency completion. Many professional development programs are available such as pre-employment programming, skills development, safety training and community interest courses. In addition, a selection of online courses are available for self-directed learning.

GPRC has many features to make your student life experience an enjoyable one, and to make you feel right at home during your studies. This include a fitness centre and Student Wellness programs and services, a climbing gym, Educational Ambassadors to assist new and future students, the College and Community Health Centre, an On-Campus Friendship Centre for Indigenous students and much, much more!

The institution is also home to GPRC Research and Innovation which funds and supports student-led community projects. GPRC R&I partners with other collaborators to connect industry and the community with the diverse knowledge, skills and experiences of GPRC faculty and students. 

Students at GPRC are represented by the Students' Association of Grande Prairie Regional College (SAGPRC) who work to improve the student life by:

  • Providing unique services such as health and dental insurance and peer counselling
  • Operating Howlers Lounge
  • Hosting a variety of student-centered events
  • Advocating for student needs to GPRC staff and administration and government
